France has taken the step to introduce a reduction in the access to its Beneficial Owner Register as currently administered by The National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
Announce in mid June, Le Monde published an article calling out that transparency in France would like be significantly reduced by the closure of INPI to the general public.
Data as expected remains open to regulated entities, law enforcements agencies across Europe, journalists, researchers and entities engaged the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing.
Individual and companies who have recently lost access to INPI’s Beneficial Ownership data may reapply here with relevant proof of being within one of the categories above.
